क्या कलम दवात क्या

क्या है बात इत्तिफ़ाक़ क्या

गहना है अगर जन—धन

और लिबास बदन

तो मन की आयिने पर छाप क्या।

तो ऐसी कुछ गुफ़्तगू हुई

बयान दर्ज है पन्नों में इन

हसीन शाम जो शुरू हुई।

मन ही मंदिर है

i the seeker

i sought after solace

i looked for liberation

in the constructs of human race.

i have visited

i have seen

i have been

in the halls that sing of salvation.

i say this now

i know it too

i believe you too

in the mind is the temple of gods.

and the heart is it’s life.
